We Must Increase Our Efforts

The November election will be here before we know it, and we need to do everything we can to ensure that we have the resources to win. With your generous support of $20, $30, $50, $100 or even $200 today, we can continue to fight to grow the economy, keep taxes low, fully fund education and defeat liberal attempts to grow the size of government.

Lt. Governor Bell and I have been working extremely hard on behalf of all Utahns to cut government spending, balance the budget and stimulate economic development. Accordingly, the Deseret News recently quoted the Editor of Business Facilities Magazine as saying, “Across all of our key rankings categories, Utah clearly exhibited the most dramatic improvement of any state in the nation.”

Because of Utah’s leadership on economic issues, I was recently appointed to be the chairman of the Economic Development and Commerce Committee for the National Governors Association – a first for rookie governors.

We have an historic opportunity this year to send a message of fiscal restraint and conservatism to all the big spenders in Washington.
